Don is a funeral attendant that has been employed at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. since 2015. He was born and raised on a farm in the Shippensburg area and graduated from the Shippensburg High School in 1964. Don worked for Valley Quarries before a 36 year tenure with Pepsi, Newville, where he retired from in 2010. Don married his wife Linda in 1970, and together had a daughter, Christie Kissel and a son, Matthew Tosten. He has five grandsons, Hunter and Kyle Kissel, and Caleb, Asher, and Silas Tosten. Don and his wife are members of the Greenvillage Church of God, where their son Matt is the Pastor. Don enjoys hunting, golfing a different courses, and spending time with his family.
1. What do you like most about working at FBFH?
I like working for a professional and caring business. I also like being around people and being there to help and comfort them.
2. What do you do in your free time?
I like to golf at different courses and enjoy going hunting.
3. What is your favorite quote?
When purchasing something, "Do I want it or do I need it?"
4. What is your favorite smell in the whole world?
My wife's cooking.
5. If you could live in a different time period, what would it be and why?
I like the time period I live in because I've seen so many changes in technology and other advancements. We have so much to be thankful for today.
6. If you had to be stranded on a deserted island with a celebrity, who would it be?
MacGyver
7. What is one impressive thing you know how to do?
I like to do interior painting and am somewhat of a handyman.
8. What is one thing on your bucket list?
I'd like to return to Branson, Missouri.
9. What is your biggest pet peeve?
How our federal and state government keep giving money away that they don't have!
10. What was your first job?
I worked as a Weighmaster at Valley Quarries, Shippensburg, PA for 9 years, then worked and retired from Pepsi, Newville for 36 years.
