He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, inducted on June 7, 1954 and honorably discharged on June 6, 1956.

Bill worked as a computer programmer at the Letterkenny Army Depot for thirty-one years. He was a very fortunate and successful investor which in turn led him to be a very generous and kind man, but still very strong willed. Bill enjoyed sharing his success with his family (and many others) and started a tradition known as ‘Bill’s Day.” Bill was a great lover his cocker spaniel’s Millie and Muffy. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, flea markets, and auctions.

He is survived by two sons, Ronald (Cindy) Wyrick of Chambersburg and Randy Wyrick of Chambersburg; one brother, Galen E. ‘Gene” Wyrick of Mohnton; one sister, Martha Poe of Chambersburg; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Millie & Muffy.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Lena G. Imes Wyrick, who died on January 6, 1990; six brothers, Frank, Bob, Roy, Wayne, Gerald, and R. Jack; and two sisters, Lillian Kimpel and Dorothy Morrison.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Mr. Jeff Wyrick will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

In celebration of Bill’s generous spirit, memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter at 5051 Letterkenny Road West Chambersburg, PA 17201.
