William Stafford

William H. “Bill” Stafford, 73, of Shippensburg, passed away the evening of Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at his home.

He was born Saturday, January, 7, 1950 in Roaring Spring, a son of the late Joseph J. and Iva B. (Horton) Stafford, Sr. He married Carma M. (Killian) Stafford on August 22, 1981.

Bill graduated from Shippensburg State College with a degree in Biology. Following the completion of his Bachelor’s Degree, he obtained his Pharmacy Degree at the University of Pittsburgh. Bill was employed as a pharmacist at various local pharmacies and eventually retired from the Department of State in 2017 as a pharmacy inspector. In 2002, he started Stafford Flags, something he was very proud of. Bill was also an avid Pitt Football fan.

In addition to his wife, Carma, Bill is survived by two children, Michael (Trisha) Stafford, and Lindsey (Alex Vallo) Stafford; and two grandchildren, Theodore and Grace Stafford.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph J. Stafford, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Pastor Bruce Levy officiating. Burial will follow at Mongul Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
