William B. “Bill” Middaugh, 76, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at home.
He was born Sunday, December 10, 1944 in Chambersburg, PA. Bill was a son of the late Ralph and Beulah (Smith) Middaugh.
He retired from the Letterkenny Army Depot and prior to his retirement, Bill worked at the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot, Grove Manufacturing, and was a security guard for Shadd in the Shippensburg Area. Bill was a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Shippensburg. Bill enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his fiancée, Patricia M. Ott; two children, Melinda West and Shawn Middaugh; six step-children, Cindy Coldsmith, Gayle Pike, Douglas Stine, Joann Hosfelt, Larry Wiest and Sharon Stine; one brother, Bruce Middaugh; one sister, Judy Middaugh; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2020 at 10 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Officiating will be Pastor Bruce Levy. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home. A private burial with military honors will take place in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
