William R. “Scooter” Leach, 63, of Shippensburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 17, 2021. Since being diagnosed in April of 2019 with brain cancer, he fought a courageous battle until the end. He will be greatly missed but in a much better place for eternity.
Bill was proud to be an American and loved the flag. He loved riding his Harley, camping, and bluegrass music. He was a true outdoorsman and was a tree trimmer by trade. Bill worked at various warehouses, last working at OTR in Chambersburg. Bill was an inspiration to others. He enjoyed singing, praising and testifying for his Lord.
Bill especially cherished his grandchildren Ashlynn and Trenton and his step-grandchildren Cohen and Brynn. He will be greatly missed by his wife Marsha. Also surviving are his son, Tim; a step-son, Joey (Lacy) Washabaugh; a brother, Harv; sister, Dottie; sister-in-law, Robin; and sister-in-law, Diana (Angel) Hernandez. He is also survived by his foster mother, Nancy Gill, whom he loved deeply.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dorothy Leach and a brother, Paul.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the Family Worship Center at 6780 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
