William Bilchak

William Bilchak, 91, of Shippensburg, died Friday, August 9, 2013 at home.
Born May 21, 1922 in Port Homer, Ohio, he was a son of the late John and Julia Choma Bilchak.
Bill was employed at Brainard Steel, then Daniels Motor Freight, and retired from Trumball Memorial Hospital all in Warren Ohio. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II and served in the Civilian Conservation Corps.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church in Shippensburg and the Harrisburg Polka Dancing Club. Bill enjoyed doing household repairs, woodworking, gardening, playing cards, polka dancing, and singing with his great voice.
He is survived by his wife Mary Jesionek Bilchak whom he married September 4, 1948; children Valerie Bilchak and her husband David Woldman of Cleveland, OH, Rosemary Bilchak and her husband Gordon MacAlpine of Hotchkiss, CO, James Bilchak and his wife Sharie (Sebastian) Bilchak of San Jose, CA, Cynthia Bilchak and her husband John Stroughair of London, UK; sibling, Joseph Bilchak of CA, Betty Salcone of FL, Julia Mikusevich, Susan Welch, and Robert Bilchak all of Warren, OH; six grandchildren; and one great grandson.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Andrew and John Bilchak, Mary Lewis, Helen Thomas, Magdelene Wisor, and Teresa Dann.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2013 in Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, Shippensburg at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Father David A. Hillier. Burial will be private. A fellowship and reception will follow the memorial service.
