Willard Taylor

Willard F. “Dutch’ Taylor, Jr., 60, of NewCastle, DE, died on March 1, 2013, at his home.

He was born on June 21, 1952 in Wilmington, DE, the son of the late Willard F. and Katherine P. Sparks Taylor, Sr. Dutch was a 1971 graduate of Delaware Tech High School. He received his Associates Degree from Delaware State College and also attended the University of Delaware.

Dutch was employed for 25 years at Farley Printing as a Pressman. He also worked at Reports, Cann, and Village Printing.

He enjoyed camping and fishing; traveling to Disney World, Canada, Williamsburg, VA, and a special cruise to the Bahamas for Dutch and Cindy’s twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. He will be greatly missed by his family.

Dutch is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cynthia R. Shughart Taylor; two sons, Willard F. Taylor, III and David E. Taylor; a granddaughter, Reannin Taylor; and several cousins.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013, in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg, PA. The Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton will officiate. There will be no public viewing or visitation. The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg has been entrusted with his local funeral arrangements.

At a later date, Dutch’s family will have a public memorial service at Asbury United Methodist Church, Basin Road, New Castle, DE.
