Wilbur Thomas Coy, 69, of Shippensburg, died on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born on June 7, 1946, in Cleversburg, a son of the late Errol and Curvey Stine Coy.
Wilbur worked for PennDot for thirty-nine and a half years, retiring as a Highway Foreman in 2006. He also worked for McCune Lumber for a period of time, earlier in life.
He was a member of the Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church, Newville. In his leisure time, Wilbur liked to play baseball and softball, hunt with his two sons, be outdoors, and go to NASCAR races. He was a happy person and always so full of life.
Wilbur is survived by his three children, Wilbur Thomas Coy, II; twins, Logan Andrew Coy and Katrina Ann Coy; one granddaughter, Lillian Nicole Coy; the mother of his children, Vivian F. Coy, all of Shippensburg; three sisters; eight brothers; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Wilbur was preceded in death by one brother.
His memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church, Newville. Visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will be private. The Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg, has been entrusted with his funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church at 720 Green Spring Road Newville, PA 17241.
