Westley J. Parks, Sr. 75, of Willow Hill, died on the morning of Friday, January 18, 2013, at his home.
He was born on April 18, 1937, in Willow Hill, a son of the late William Henry and Mary Worley Parks.
Westley had worked at the Rosenberry Bros. Saw Mill for many years. He always loved to take his grandson fishing, was an avid hunter, liked to do woodwork and make things for his wife, and plant a garden.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Genevieve Starr Parks; five children, Westley (Hazel Bowman) Parks, Jr., Darryl Parks, Karl Parks, Karen Clugston, all of Willow Hill and Dale (Ann) Parks of Newburg; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Westley was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
His graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at the Upper Path Valley Cemetery. Pastor Jeremy Leonard will officiate. Viewing will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg.
