Warren V. Zullinger, Jr.

Warren V. Zullinger, Jr., 92, of Newburg, died on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born on April 8, 1918, in Letterkenny Twp., Franklin County, a son of the late Warren V. and Viola Sandoe Zullinger, Sr.
A U.S. Army Medic, a veteran of World War II, inducted on March 12, 1942 and honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal, on December 10, 1945.
On July 19, 1947, Warren married Ms. Chloe C. Weller in Virginia.
Warren was employed at Shirtcraft, before working for Penn Pants, both formerly of Shippensburg, where he retired as foreman in 1982. He then worked for both Dr. Freeman and Dr. Brenneman in their Shippensburg practices.
Warren was a long time member of the Ridge Church of the Brethren and its Willing Workers Sunday School Class. He also liked to work in his vegetable garden in his leisure time.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Chloe, two daughters; Sandra L. (Edwin) Anderson of McConnellsburg and Nancy A. Swope of Shippensburg, one brothers; Raymond Zullinger of Pleasant Hall, four sisters; Mary Newcomer of Marion, Bertha Snyder, Janet Wenger, and Grace Reed, all of Chambersburg, two grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at the Ridge Church of the Brethren, Shippensburg. The Rev. Earl F. Stovall will officiate. Interment will be in the Ridge Church Cemetery. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, at church.
