Wanida J. Johnson, 84, of Orrstown, passed away, Saturday, December 24, 2016 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
She was born August 26, 1932 in Shape Gap, PA. Wanida was a daughter of the late Jay and Margaret Tice Piper. Her husband, Wayne H. Johnson died August 4, 2008 and one brother, Gary Piper is also deceased.
She was a member of the Blue Mountain Assembly of God Church, Newburg.
Wanida is survived by one daughter, Terry E. (William, Jr.) Rowles of Amberson, two sons, Wayne H. (Nancy) Johnson, Jr. of Newville, and Brian E. (Angela L.) Johnson of Newburg, six grandchildren, Shawn, Andrea, Adam, Sarah and Caleb Johnson, and Heather (Keith) Mobley, two great grandchildren, Addisyn and Ellyette Mobley, two brothers, Robert Piper, Sr. of Shade Gap, and Wayne Piper of Karthaus.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 in the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church, Shade Gap at 11 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Virgil N. Frazier. Burial will be in the Fair Ridge Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg, and one hour prior to the services Thursday morning at church.
