Wanda Kay Hockenberry, 69, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born Tuesday, June 5, 1951 in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Chester Dana and Kathryn Josephine (Freidinger) Meredith.
Wanda was an excellent homemaker and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She also worked part-time in cleaning service for the Best Western and Super 8 Motel. She loved going to yard sales and more recently enjoyed connecting with friends on Facebook. She loved caring and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Tatum (Bill Fertney, Jr.) Hockenberry and Amanda Hockenberry; four grandchildren, Trevor Hockenberry, Caitlynn Naugle, Skyler Naugle, and Bow Matthew James Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. “Tader” Hockenberry who passed away on June 4, 2012. Also preceding her in death are one brother, Jack Meredith and one sister, Jill Solan.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing or service at this time, however she will be laid to rest in the Cleversburg Cemetery.
