Wade D. Fraker, 82, of Newville, passed away the morning of Monday, December 20, 2021 at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born on June 4, 1939 in Neelyton, PA, a son of the late Clarence and Alma (Appleby) Fraker.

Wade was a graduate of the Orbisonia High School. He enjoyed sprint car racing and going to car shows. Wade loved animals and going to breakfast every morning with his wife, Barbara. He was a member of the Hub City Club, Shippensburg and was a United States Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. (Cowan) Fraker; three children, Kimberly (Stephen) Wiser, Troy Fraker, and John (Becky) Fraker; five grandchildren, Steven (Lindsay) Mentzer, Randy (Cassie) Mentzer, Devon (Andy) Fraker, Preston Fraker, and Brandon Fraker; three great-grandchildren, Sheldon Mentzer, Londyn Mentzer, and Beau Mentzer; and two brothers, Rodney (Bonnie) Fraker and Edward (Letty) Fraker.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Shade Gap with Pastor Chuck Dunkle officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Minutemen of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223. There will be no public viewing.
