Vivian Cramer

Vivian R. “Dibby” (Reath) Cramer, 95, of Carlisle, passed away the evening of Friday, September 8, 2023 at Cumberland Crossings.

She was born on Sunday, February 19, 1928 in Shippensburg, a daughter of the late Walker G. and Violet R. (Perry) Reath.

Vivian was a 1946 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. She was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Gideons International and lifelong member of Prince Street United Brethren Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening, even up until her last days. Vivian was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed reading in her free time.

She is survived by her three sons, R. Scott (Sandra) Cramer of Sarasota, FL, Stephen D. (Pam) Cramer of Shippensburg, and Joseph W. Cramer of Gardners; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth W. (Carol) Reath; and an ex-daughter-in-law, Patricia A. Cramer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Cramer, who passed away on January 23, 2009. Also preceding in death is one sister, Dorothy L. Karper; and one brother, Donald R. Reath.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor John W. Shadle will officiate. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
