Virginia O. Appleby, 91, of Newburg, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at her home.
Born Tuesday, January 21, 1930 in New Paris, Bedford County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Norman N. and Irene Dolly Burkett Oldham.
Virginia retired as a seamstress from the former Stanley Company, Chambersburg. She was a member of the Mowersville Brethren in Christ Church.
Virginia is survived by one daughter, Amy L. (companion Ronald Radabaugh) Appleby, Newburg; one daughter In-law, Connie L. Appleby, Newburg; one grandson, Keith M. (wife Tiara) Appleby, Shippensburg; one granddaughter, Kandi L. (companion Larry Lindsey) Appleby, Newburg; six great grandchildren, Quincy M. Appleby, Aylin E. McNew, Cody A. Maley, all of Shippensburg, Samantha Souders, Chambersburg, Haley N. Lindsey, Greencastle, and Corey Linsey, Newburg; two great-great grandchildren; and four sisters, Dorothy Bert, Esther Musser, Anna Mae Zinn, and Alice Grace Brantner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel D. Appleby, who died October 8, 1988; and one son, Norman S. Appleby, who died January 2, 2019, and five sisters.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
