Violet "Posey" Gutshall

Violet “Posey” E. Gutshall, 95, a resident of Green Ridge Village, Newville, departed this life on the morning of Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on December 7, 1920, in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Charles and Eva M. Gardner Gabler and married Ernest F. Gutshall on February 10, 1939. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2012.
Violet worked as an Inspector at the Beistle Company. She was a member of the Messiah United Methodist Church, Shippensburg.
She is survived by her son, Robert F. (Linda) Gutshall of Shippensburg; three grandchildren, Eric (Teresa) Gutshall of Chambersburg, Cathy (Anthony) Ambrosio of Shippensburg, and Tami (Matt) Dillion of Springfield, IL; six great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and one great great grandson soon on the way.
In addition to her parents and husband, Violet was preceded in death by one son, Larry R. Gutshall, who died on November 7, 1999; one brother; and three sisters.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, December 11, 2015, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton and Rev. Matthew Tosten will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Messiah United Methodist Church at 30 S. Penn St. Shippensburg, PA 17257 or Green Ridge Village at 210 Big Spring Road Newville, PA 17241.
