Violet M. Holtry, 86, a resident of the Shippensburg Health Care Center, died Sunday, January 22, 2012 in the home.
Born October 14, 1925 in Shippensburg, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Herman Leroy, Sr. and Mabel Grace Fitzgerald Holtry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Herman Leroy Holtry, Jr., and six sisters, Blanche Martin, Dorothy Brenize, Frances Baker, Ada Holtry, Kathryn Holtry, and Emma Jane Holtry.
She is survived by one brother J. Harold Holtry of Shippensburg and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 2 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Paul J. Hauk. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
