Vicky J. Sheeder, 63, of Shippensburg, died on the morning of Monday, January 13, 2013, at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on September 1, 1950, in Huntingdon, daughter of the late Robert C. and Betty J. Livinghouse Schock.
Vicky was primarily a homemaker throughout her life, however, she also worked at Handy Andy’s, in McConnellsburg, for a period of time.
She liked to play bingo and was a huge lover of animals, especially dogs. Vicky enjoyed being outdoors, the ocean, and going to the beach were among her favorite places to travel to. Time spent among her family was very important to her.
Vicky is survived by her three children, Robert C. Davis, husband of Jodi of McConnellsburg, Brian K. Davis of Shippensburg, and Kristi J. Davis, wife of Nathan McCourt of Shippensburg; two grandchildren, Morgan R. Davis and Olivia J. Davis; two brothers, James Schock husband of Suzanne and Robert Schock husband of Diane, both of Monongahela, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Vicky was preceded in death by her two half-sisters, Ann Schaffer and Judy Fritz.
Her memorial service will be held at a future date and time, at the McConnellsburg United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to a local Animal Rescue Charity of one’s choice.
