Jane A. Weaver, 78, of Shippensburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from her home.
Born Monday, September 23, 1935, in Lurgan, she was one of nine children of the late Guy P. and Elizabeth M. (Baer) Stouffer.
Jane retired in 1988 as a directorate secretary with 28 years of service at Letterkenny Army Depot. She was an active and faithful member of the Lurgan United Brethren Church and currently taught the adult women’s class
Her hobbies included sketching, painting, reading, arts & crafts, gardening, sewing, traveling, baking, walking and spending ample time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ralph E. Weaver, whom she married August 21, 1988; her four children: Bradley S. Allen of Lancaster, Steve E. (wife Janice) Allen of Shippensburg, Kent M. Allen of Salisbury, MD, and Gwenda L. Shank (husband Rick) of Shippensburg; grandchildren: Matthew, Mark, Michelle, and Tasha Allen, Kacy and Joshua Shank; great grandchildren: Aubrey, Tony, Parker, Kenna and Olivia Allen, and Christopher Pross; step-daughter: Christina (husband Dan) Eichenlaub; step-grandchildren: Matthew, Carrie and Lula Eichenlaub and Arlie Love; step-great grandchildren: Gabriella, Daniel and Emmalynn Eichenlaub, Aubree and Taylor Love.
She is also survived by four brothers: Frank E., Larry P., Jerry L., and Galen R. Stouffer: three sisters: Ruth E. Allen, Arlene M. Coy, and Marcia E. McDannell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Reba E. Weller.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lurgan United Brethren Church, with Pastor Stan McCammon and Rev. Richard E. Mose officiating. Burial will be in Lurgan Cemetery. Viewings will be held Wednesday, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., and one hour prior to the service on Thursday in the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lurgan United Brethren Church, 7607 Roxbury Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
