Vesta Gayle Clippinger, 99, of Shippensburg, died Sunday, June 9, 2013 in the Thornwald Home, Carlisle.
Born March 27, 1914 in Shippensburg, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late James and Dollie Seavers Stine.
Vesta was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church, Shippensburg. She retired from Richard Textiles in Shippensburg and prior to that worked at C.H. Masland and Sons in Carlisle. Vesta was a 1932 graduate of the Shippensburg High School and was a member of AARP in Shippensburg.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Earl Clippinger who died March 2, 1986. Three brothers; J. Paul, David A. and William J. Stine, and three sisters; Daisy F. Highlands, Mary E. Piper, and Betty J. Chamberlin are also deceased.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol C. Drachbar and her husband Terrence of Carlisle, a brother-in-law, Jay C. Chamberlin of Palmyra, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 14, 2013 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 11 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Messiah United Methodist Church, 30 South Penn Street, Shippensburg, PA 17013.
