Vera Longley Kearns
1917 ~ 2010
Vera Longley Kearns, 93, of Prescott, AZ, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2010. Born on March 18, 1917, in Baltimore, MD, the first child of the late Edwin and Ora Wright Longley.
Vera is survived by a beloved son, Jay Kearns of Scottsdale, AZ; five granddaughters, Kristin of Iceland, Kelly of Texas, Kauleen of Oaklahoma, Stephanie of Arizona, and Shannon of California; two sisters, Geraldine Leatherman of Baltimore and Nancy Miller of Greenville, DE; and one brother, Neal Longley of Shippensburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kearns; and her beloved children, two sons, Ronald and Patrick Kearns; and her daughter, Jamie Kearns.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will follow at the Upper Strasburg Methodist Cemetery.
