Valerie L. Jones, 47, of Shippensburg, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 8, 1963 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Robert K. Sr. and Margaret E. Doyle Newell.
Valerie was 1982 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School, a member of the Shippensburg VFW and American Legion Posts, she loved and adored her two grandsons Avian and Idreas, loved going to the beach and enjoyed helping other people.
Surviving are her husband of 24 years Joey A Jones, one son; Wesley A. Jones and his companion Fontina M. Hall, one daughter; Kellie J. Jones and her companion Santos Vasquez Jr. all of Shippensburg, five sisters; Anna M. Martin, of Chambersburg, Barbara J. Cummings, Cristine M. Newell both of Shippensburg Betty J. Radabaugh and Sandra K. Martin both of Orrstown, three brothers; Roger L. Newell of Newville and John A Newell and Brian R, Newell both of Shippensburg, Mother In-Law Shirley Perry of Shippensburg, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Linda Tucker and Audrey Rosenberry and two brothers; Robert K. Newell Jr. and Ronald E. Newell.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 2:00 P.M.in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith R. Bell officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 452 East King Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
