V. Louise Staver, 91, of Shippensburg, died Friday, February 25, 2011 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born January 21, 1920 in Fannettsburg, Franklin County. Louise was a daughter of the late William and Mary Slike Kent.
She was a member of the Shippensburg Presbyterian Church and retired from the former Marden Clothing Company in Shippensburg. Louise was a 1938 graduate of the Shippensburg High School and was an honorary member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, James Kent, and two sisters; Faye Bitting and Clara Emmert.
She is survived by a daughter, Brenda S. Cummings and her husband Gary of Shippensburg, two sisters; Genevieve Burkholder and Carrie Gibbs both of Chambersburg, two granddaughters; Tonya Rideout, Alexander, VA and Heidi Cummings, Chambersburg, two great grandsons; Evan and Caleb Rideout and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011 in the Shippensburg Presbyterian Church at 2:00 P.M. Officiating will be The Rev. Robert L. Rhoades. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church
