Tommy G. Everett, 77 of Orrstown Road, Shippensburg, died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at his home.
Born March 8, 1933 in Shippensburg, he was the son of the late Norman L. and Ella Smith Everett.
Tommy was a 1950 graduate of the Shippensburg High School. He was a United States Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean War. Tommy was co-founder of the Everline Custom Homes in Chambersburg where he later became owner. In 1998 he retired from the Shippensburg University after 15 years of service as Assistant Director of the Physical Plant Department.
He attended the Shippensburg First Church of God. He was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 where he served as Past Commander, Chaplain and a member of the Minutemen, Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 and the Hub City Club all in Shippensburg.
Surviving is his wife of 57 years Marlene M. Rosser Everett, one son; Bradley A. Everett, Shippensburg, one daughter; Charlene Everett-Olcese and her husband John, Clifford Township, PA and five grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. Paul K. Hauk officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Shippensburg American Legion and VFW Posts. Viewings will be Friday, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and Saturday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 Minutemen, 100 East Dykeman Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257
