Thomas H. Gilbert, 72, of Shippensburg died Monday, February 16, 2015 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born Thursday, June 18, 1942 in Shippensburg. Thomas was a son of the late Charles and Ida Mellott Gilbert.
Thomas retired from Local # 1180, Harrisburg.
He is survived by three daughters, Cindy L. Gilbert and her husband Charles Laughman of Shippensburg, Brenda S. (Andrew) Linn of Harrisburg, and Paula A. Hobbs and companion, Brian Rhodes of Chambersburg, three grandchildren, Alyssa, Nathan, and Abbi, and one sister, Darlene Mowery of Newville. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Esther L. Killian Gilbert, who died May 10, 2009, and a sister Barbara Clepper.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg at 2 p.m. Officiating will be The Rev. Rocky W. Spear. Burial will be held in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
