Susan I. Mason, 70, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the morning of Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at her home.
She was born on September 25, 1953, in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Hattie (Keefer) Ferrell.
Susan worked as a purchasing agent at GAF in Myerstown for fifteen years. Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling to visit and see covered bridges, playing table games like dominoes and cards, and going to the beach.
She is survived by her son, Fred N. Mason, Jr. and fiancé Melanie Harris of Harrisburg; grandson, Liam J. Mason of Harrisburg; granddaughter, Katelyn Harris of Harrisburg; four sisters, Alice Lay of Newville, Pansy Mason of Camp Hill, Norma Reese of Newburg, and Linda Reed of Newville; her brother, Joe Ferrell, Jr. of Shippensburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend and neighbor, Cindy Ferry of Shippensburg.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Fred N. Mason, Sr.
Her funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or funeral service at this time. However, a celebration of Susan’s life will be planned for a future date and time.
