Susan E. Cordell, 60, of Shippensburg, died on Sunday, February 13, 2011, at her home.
Born on May 26, 1950, in Altoona, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Audrey Mills. She was a graduate of the Scotland School for Veteran’s Children. On September 12, 1970, she married Mr. Dennis W. Cordell, Sr., in Hagerstown, MD.
Susan retired from the former Hoffman Mills, Shippensburg, where she was employed as a weaver. She was previously employed at Grove Manufacturing, Shady Grove and A.W.I., Shippensburg.
Susan loved to read, fish, sew, and most of all, spend time with her grandaughter.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dennis; two sons, Dennis W. Cordell, Jr. and Daniel R. (Jennie) Cordell, of Shippensburg; one granddaughter, Brittany Marie Sherman of Shippensburg; two brothers, and four sisters.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February, 18, 2010, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Quincy. Viewing will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
