Steven Thomas Truscott, 71, of Pembroke Pines, FL., and formerly of Camp Hill, PA, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Miramar Memorial Hospital, Miramar, FL.
Born March 10, 1950, a son of Thomas and Cleo Truscott, who both preceded him in death.
Steve graduated from Camp Hill High School in 1968 and Penn State in 1972. He went on to have a 25 year career with the Harrisburg Police Dept. retiring as Captain in 1999. During that time he also attended and graduated from the FBI Police Academy in Quantico, VA in 1987. After retiring from the Harrisburg Police Department, he then embarked on a second career for the City of Pembroke Pines as their Grant Research Coordinator from 1999 until 2013.
Steve is survived by his wife Carol Truscott; two brothers, Charles of Ft Lauderdale and Thomas (Nancy) of Sammamish, WA; and two sisters, Jean Eberly of Wellsville, PA and Jan Truscott of Lake Oswego, OR. Also surviving are three nephews, and two nieces,
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday, with a Masonic service being held at 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Harrisburg Humane Society, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
