Stephen L. Strohm, 47, of Shippensburg, departed this life on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at his home.
He was born on July 3, 1970, in Chambersburg, the son of Leroy J. Strohm and Kathryn “Kaye” L. Kessler Drawbaugh and husband Richard. Stephen was a 1988 graduate of Shippensburg Area High School. He married Angela M. Clouse on September 21, 2011, in Shippensburg.
Stephen worked as a LEAD Mechanic at the Letterkenny Army Depot for the past ten years. Earlier in life he worked at T.B Woods and Carlisle Syntec.
Stephen was a former member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223, Shippensburg. He enjoyed watching football and NASCAR and liked to garden. Stephen had a special knack for his butterfly garden. He was very selfless with his time, always willing to lend a hand and help out his friends. Stephen’s world revolved around his family and especially his children, whom he loved very much.
In addition to his wife and parents, Stephen is survived by four children, Richard B. Hershey of Tulsa, OK, Christopher S. Strohm of Chambersburg, Brooke E. Strohm of Chambersburg, and Johnathan S. Strohm of Shippensburg; step-son, Cole-James Smith of Newville; sister, Stephanie L. (Chet) Wenger of St. Thomas; nephew, Dillon E. Wenger of St. Thomas; several aunts and uncles; and many friends.
Stephen was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
His funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor’s Johnny Herbst and Jerry Timbrook will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
