Stephen Erb

Stephen A. Erb, 65 of Shippensburg, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 in his home.

He was born on Saturday, September 28, 1957 in Chambersburg to the late Calvin Erb and Vivian (Harry) Clowdis. Stephen then married Patricia Naugle on October 6, 1990 at the Fair Ridge Assembly of God in Shade Gap.

He worked as a computer operator for the majority of his life working for Manitowoc, Gannett Fleming, Hanover Direct, and Frey Communications.

Stephen was an avid softball player playing from the age of fourteen to age fifty where he was known as “Kermie.” He also enjoyed many fishing trips to Canada with his family.

In addition to his wife of thirty-two years, Patricia, he was survived by a brother, Warren Clowdis of Dry Run; a step-sister, Diane Davis of Virginia, a brother-in-law Brian Naugle of Shade Gap; a niece, Allison Naugle of Saltillo; a nephew, Jordan Naugle of Saltillo; two uncles, Gerald “Mark” Erb of Blairs Mills, and Samuel “Glenn” Harry of Newville; and many cousins.

In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by three uncles, Cliff, Raymond, and Fred Harry.

His funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc. in Shippensburg. There will be no public viewing, visitation, or funeral services. Interment will also be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc. to offset funeral expenses.
