Stanley Helm

Stanley D. Helm, 60, of Carlisle, departed this life on the morning of Monday, June 26, 2017, at his home.

He was born on August 9, 1956, in Carlisle, the son of Charles R. and Dorothy E. Weigle Hartman.

Stanley really enjoyed music, especially playing the tambourine and harmonica. He liked to take trips to the mall and go out to eat, especially to the Carlisle Diner, where he had a special relationship with the waitresses who worked there. Stanley really enjoyed drinking coffee. There were also family trips to Florida, to go see Disney World that will remain fond memories.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sisters, Belinda Sue Brown and husband Barry of Newville, Sandra Jean Taylor of Carlisle, Treva Marie Bailey and husband Vincent of Ocoee, FL, and Teena Joy Mowery of Shippensburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Stanley was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Marie Weigle and M. Louise Hartman.

His memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Monday, July 3, 2017, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Rev. Peter Ogilvie will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
