Shirley Weller

December 16, 1945 — January 14, 2022

Shirley A. Weller, 76, was born on December 16, 1945, in Worcester, Massachusetts and entered into eternal rest on January 14, 2022.

Shirley was the daughter of the late Albert A. and Lucille M. (Saluto) Mason.

She was a 1963 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School and The Empire School of Beauty in Lancaster, PA. As a licensed teacher of cosmetology, Shirley also owned and operated her beauty salon for 46 years in Shippensburg. An active member of Middle Spring Presbyterian Church, she participated in many church sponsored functions, as well as the many activities of her three children.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Wenda L. (Jeff) Newhouse of Kalamazoo, Michigan and two sons, C. Richard (Rick) Weller, Jr. of Newburg and Wes E. (Brenda Martinez) Weller of Laurel, Maryland. Also surviving are her grandson, Ryan C. Dissinger, and granddaughter, Celia L. Dissinger; one brother, Al Mason, Jr. of Shippensburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Shirley in death was her loving husband, C. Richard (Dick) Weller, who passed away on January 5, 2021. They were married for over 56 years.

Per Shirley’s directive, there will be no public funeral service or visitation.
