Shirley A. Mogerman, 65, of Shippensburg, passed Sunday, April 14, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley was born November 5, 1947 in Chambersburg. She was a daughter of the late Gerald A., Sr. and Emma F. Beidel Diehl.
Shirley retired from the Transportation Department of the Shippensburg Area School District after 33 years of employment. She was a member of the Prince Street United Brethren Church and was involved on various committees. Shirley was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cumberland Valley Hose Company and an avid blood donor. She was a 1965 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis R. Mogerman who passed October 31, 2008, a daughter Tami N. Lytle who passed May 31, 2011, and a step daughter Stacey M. Jeansonne who passed June 13, 2011.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas H. Lytle and his fiancé Jamie Pine of Chambersburg, and Samuel F. Mogerman and his wife Shauna of Shippensburg, three step sons, John E. “Jack” Mogerman, and his wife Rose, of Missouri, Michael D. Mogerman and his wife Pamela of Louisiana, and Thomas Mogerman of Indiana, one step daughter, Margaret “Peggy” Bible of Nevada, three brothers, Gerald A. Diehl, Jr., Douglas J. Diehl, and Scott W. Diehl all of Shippensburg, two granddaughters, Trista Cowles of Louisiana, and Torie Lytle of Chambersburg, two great grandsons, Brayden Cowles of Louisiana, and Cayden Lytle of Chambersburg, and numerous step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Prince Street United Brethren Church, Shippensburg at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be The Rev. James O. Bolich and The Rev. Philip Steele. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to the services in church on Friday.
