Sharon Jane Frey, 68, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at her home.
Born Saturday, March 22, 1952 in Lewisburg, Union County, she was a daughter of the late Millard Galen and Evelyn Jane Hummel Fetzer.
Sharon was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School. She was a member of the Green Village Church of God. She retired in 2010 as a teacher’s aide from the Shippensburg Area School District.
Sharon enjoyed flower gardening, interior design, and antiquing.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Rexford H. Frey, Jr., whom she married September 24, 1971; two daughters, Jennifer J. (Corey) Britcher, Shippensburg, and Heather F. (Ben) Irvin, Myerstown; one son, Rexford H. (Julia) Frey III, Shippensburg; six grandchildren, Hannah, Luke, Leah, and Lydia Britcher, all of Shippensburg, and Tori and Sophia Irvin, both of Myerstown; two brothers, Galen and Keith Fetzer, both of Lewisburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Yvonne O’Neill.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in Myers Cemetery with Pastor Ronald Dull officiating. A viewing will be held Tuesday, from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greenvillage Church of God, 5164 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17202.
