Scott Douglas Parson, 64, of Chambersburg, passed away the morning of Monday, September 19, 2022 at his brother’s home in Shippensburg while under hospice care surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 9, 1957 in Chambersburg, a son of Dorine (Diehl) Winward and Henry Parson.
Scott was a truck driver for 46 years, delivering cargo all over the United States. He was a simple man who had a love for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was very handy and enjoyed fixing or making things with his own hands. He shared a love of Penn State football with his daughter, KyLee and son-in-law, Brett.
He was the loving husband and caretaker to his wife of 44 years, Sina (Book) Parson; a devoted father to KyLee (Brett) Phillips; and the world’s best pop pop to his grandchildren Paisley and Harrison Phillips. Scott had a tough shell but a soft heart. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Also surviving Scott is his brother, Gregory (Lori) Parson.
