Sarah ”Louise” McLucas, 57, of Waynesboro, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Rolling Hills Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Millmont, PA.
Born Monday, July 24, 1961 in Waynesboro, she was a daughter of the late Buford and Mary June Myers Mentzer.
Louise was a graduate of the Waynesboro Senior High School. She was a member of the Waynesboro Church of the Brethren. She Retired from Fort Detrick Army Base in August of 2016 where she worked for the Naval Medical Logistics Command, and was a former employee at Fort Ritchie Army Depot, and Letterkenny Army Depot, with a total of over 35 years of service.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald “Mark” McLucas, Green Castle; one daughter, Jennifer L. Kaufman, Blain; two step-daughters, Felicia McLucas, Waynesboro, and Nikki McLucas, East Salem; two grandsons, Axl Kauffman, and Kaden Leon; five granddaughters, Cassidy Ritchey, Raelynn Wilson, Chloe McLucas, Kierra and Kaylee Bingaman; two brothers, Frank and William Mentzer, both of Waynesboro; three sisters, Ilene Shadle, New Franklin, JoAnn Bowie, and Jean Harbaugh, both of Waynesboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Mentzer.
A memorial service will be held Monday, September 17, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, with the Rev. John Weber officiating. Burial will be private.
