Sandra Lynn Shearer-Shenk, 75, of Shippensburg, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at her home.
Born Tuesday, July 16, 1946 in Keyser, WV, she was a daughter of the late Alan and Anita Barr Cooper.
Sandra was a 1964 graduate of Everett High School, and received her Associates Degree from Hagerstown Business College. Sandra was a United States Marine Corp veteran serving during the Vietnam War. She retired in 2014 from the Scotland School for Veterans Children as the Maintenance Secretary after 14 years of service.
She was a member of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 Ladies Auxiliary, Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2500, all in Shippensburg. Sandra loved WWE Wrestling, and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan.
She is survived by two sons, Keith D. (wife Rhonda) Rozell, Mercersburg, and Corey A. (Emma) Shearer, Chambersburg; five grandchildren, Luke Eggers, Lily Fuller, Blake Fuller, Joshua Horner, and Amber Horner; one sister, Donna Foreman, and two brothers, David and Alan Cooper, all of Chaineysville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur L. Shenk, Jr., who died January 17, 2020.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with Pastor Jeff McCracken officiating. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Military Honors will be conducted by the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223 Minutemen immediately following the service at the funeral home.
