Sandra L. “Sandy” Everts, 76, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the evening of Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Cumberland Crossings, Carlisle.
She was born on September 20, 1946, in Beverly, MA, a daughter of Warren Pizzello, Sr., and the late Laura (Murray) Pizzello. Sandy married Ronald M. Everts on January 27, 1966. He preceded her in death on October 14, 2009.
Over the years, Sandy worked at the former Little Tykes, JLG Industries, Towne Cleaners, O.C.D. Industries, and also as a C.N.A. for a period of time. She attended the Living Faith Chapel and most recently, The Harbor. Sandy was strong in her faith and was known to encourage those who were going through a hard time to seek refuge in the Lord.
Aside from attending church, Sandy enjoyed camping, going to the Chambersburg YMCA, spending time with her grandchildren, and attending the church/community meals around the Shippensburg area.
In addition to her father, she is survived by three daughters, Teresa Wanko and husband Stanley of Summerville, SC, Christina Weibley and husband William of Shippensburg, and Karen Davis and husband Jamie of Shippensburg; one son, Scott Everts of Marshville, NC; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Riedlinger of Beverly, MA and Amy Pizzello of Bradenton, FL; two brothers, Warren Pizzello, Jr., of Indiana, and Robert “Butchie” MacMillan of Massachusets; her companion, James Wright of Shippensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sandy was preceded in death by her mother, Laura and her husband, Ronald.
Her graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, April 21, 2023, in the Otterbein Cemetery, Newburg. Pastor Melissa Mankamyer will officiate. Viewing will be Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg.
