Sandra Kaye DiSalvo, 68, of Shippensburg, died on the morning of Friday, December 5, 2014, at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on July 24, 1946, in Newville, a daughter of the late Glen A. and Evelyn Enyeart Franklin.
Sandra was most recently employed at Keystone Family Services, Chambersburg, as a Counselor, mainly for autistic children, retiring in 2010. Earlier in life she worked at the former Franklin Clothing Factory and the U-Wanna-Wash Frock Co., and also as a volunteer Nurse Aide at Green Ridge Village, Newville.
She was a member of the New Life Worship Center, Chambersburg, as well as many other ministries. Sandra was always willing to volunteer and help with whatever needed to be accomplished. In her younger years, she enjoyed hunting.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 21 years, whom she married on June 13, 1993, Rev. Dr. John DiSalvo; five daughters, April (Kurt) Lohman of MO, Mary Ellen DiSalvo of Tacoma, WA, Laurel (Levi) Farley of Tacoma, WA, Susan (Richard) Walker of Shippensburg, and Lisa Horne of Newville; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; one brother, Glen (Darlene) Franklin; one sister, Mary E. Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her son, Davey Neidigh and one brother, James Henry Franklin.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Dr. Robert Beall and her husband, Rev. Dr. John DiSalvo will officiate. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
