She really enjoyed playing cards and could also be found watching sports on television from time to time. Ruth, along with her husband Walter, was also a very extensive world traveler to places like China, Africa, and Hawaii, to name just a few.
Surviving are her three children, Charlotte A. (Gerald) Crider of Shippensburg, Leora R. (Jason) Martin of Red Lion, and Glenn W. Snoke of Carlisle; six grandchildren, Ted, T.J., Tena, Chad, Hayley, and Brittaney; six step-grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; nine step-great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and three step-great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth; two brothers; and three sisters.
A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at the Messiah United Methodist Church, Shippensburg. The Rev. Dr. Francis H. Norton will officiate. Visitation will occur in the church social hall immediately following Ruth’s celebration of life service.
