Ruth Shotts Wallace

Ruth Jane Shotts Wallace, 68, of Shippensburg, died Friday, July 1, 2011 in the Chambersburg Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born March 28, 1943 in Newville, she was a daughter of the late Ebert Paul and Anna Margaret Eckenrode Gettle.
Years ago she worked at various clothing factories including the Greif Company in Shippensburg and Stanley Company in Chambersburg. She was a Big Spring High School graduate. She was a member of the Leesburg United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Ray N. Shotts who died December 13, 1987, and two brothers and three sisters.
Jane is survived by her husband Charles L. Wallace, two sons, Douglas Ray Shotts and his wife Connie of Shippensburg, and Brian Keith Shotts and his wife Cherie of Carlisle, one step-son, Matthew Wallace of New Bloomfield, five grandchildren, Amanda, Lauren, Cortney, and Brandon Shotts, and Gabriel Wallace, one brother, Mervin T. Gettle of Carlisle, four sisters, Anna Grace Landis, Mary Etta Fickes, Thelma Romaine Varner, and Doris Louise Shoemaker all of Carlisle.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
