Ruth Rosenberry

Ruth E. Rosenberry, 83, of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.

She was born April 25, 1938 in Newburg, PA. Ruth was a daughter of the late Addison F. and Louise E. Truckenmiller Kreamer.

She retired from the Embers Restaurant & Convention Center where she worked for over 30 years. Ruth was a member of the Oakville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed setting up at arts and craft shows, going to the Williams Grove Flea Market every Sunday, gardening, and being part of the Breakfast Club at Rachel’s in Newburg.

Ruth is survived by her husband, John S. Rosenberry, Jr.; five children, Buck Kuykendall and his wife Susie of Woodbine, GA, Chuck Kuykendall and his wife Jonnie of Elgin, SC, John Rosenberry, III and his wife Jean of Shippensburg, Vicki Kuykendall-King and her husband David of Pleasant Hall, and Lisa Kuykendall and her late husband Scott Thomas of Newburg; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Addison F. Kreamer, Jr. of Nanicoke; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and son-in-law she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Kreamer; two sisters, Helen Reese and Patti Peiffer, and a furry friend, Morgan, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg. Burial will be in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
