Ruth Norcross

Ruth V. Norcross, 99, a resident of Menno Haven, Chambersburg, died Monday, October 12, 2010.

Born February 27, 1911, in Lurgan Township, Franklin County, a daughter of the late William J. and Nanny Sandoe Warren.

For the majority of her working life, Ruth was employed at several physicians’ office where she did everything from working as a receptionist to assisting the doctors with medical procedures.

Ruth enjoyed her career very much and in her leisure time, she liked to go to the golf course with her sister and watch her play golf.

Ruth is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband James K. Norcross who died July 19, 1980, three brothers; David, John, and William Warren, and two sisters; Betty Davidson and Cora McKinley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Wayne A. Warren will officiate. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg. Viewing will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
