Ruth A. (Heefner) Keefer, 69, of Shippensburg, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital.
She was born on Monday, April 28, 1952 in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Donald O. and Sarah Jane (Chamberlin) Heefner.
Ruth worked in property management for 24 years with P.B. Services Real Estate. She loved the outdoors, riding horses, and watching old western movies. Ruth was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Durff-Kuhn V.F.W. Post #6168, Minnequa Social Club 375, and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #842.
She is survived by one son, Anthony W. “Tony” (companion Stacey Osler) Keefer of Shippensburg; one daughter, Pamela Howard of Lynchburg, VA; two grandsons, Anthony Keefer and Joshua Howard; two sisters, Helen (husband Robert) Runshaw of Shippensburg, and Martha (husband Stuart) Poe of Chambersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley E. Keefer who passed away on November 22, 2012. Ruth had been in declining health since Wes’ passing.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. Pastor John Runshaw will officiate. Burial will follow in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held one hour prior from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
