Rosie Orndorff

Rosie P. Orndorff, 85, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born Monday, March 21, 1938 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Lee K. and Stella M. Adams Clendening.

Rosie was a member of the South Mountain Chapel Brethren in Christ Church

She loved and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rosie is survived by one daughter, Deb Kelley; three sons, Barry L. Orndorff, Danny E. (Karen) Orndorff, and David L. “Sam” (Loretta) Orndorff, all of Shippensburg; three grandchildren, Roger D. “Teeter” (Niki) Kelley, Travis (Kristen) Kelley, all of Shippensburg, and Stacey (Jodie) Varner, Newville; nine great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; one brother, James E. Clendening; one sister, Barb J. (James) Gruver, all of Shippensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John E. “Tom” Orndorff, who passed away January 29, 2002, and son in-law, Roger E. Kelley.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. with the Rev. David A. Erisman officiating. Burial will be in the Cleversburg Cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the South Mountain Chapel Brethren in Christ Church, Building Fund, 11 Chestnut Grove Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
