Rose Mcbeth

May 25, 1952 — September 8, 2016

Rose Marie “Molly” McBeth, 64, of Shippensburg, departed this life on the afternoon of Thursday, September 8, 2016, at LifeCare Hospital, Mechanicsburg.

She was born in Shippensburg, on May 25, 1952, on the property that she has lived on for her entire life, a daughter of the late Roy and Rosella Kelley Orndorff.

Rose worked for the former Hoffman Mills in the Beaming Department from 1988 until 2005 and earlier in life worked in the cafeteria for the Shippensburg Area School District. Rose enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions to hunt for new and different knick-knacks to add to her ever growing collection and she was very creative with her talent for making beautiful floral arrangements. Rose enjoyed going camping and having backyard cookouts, spending time with family, her dog Rocky, and her close friend Barb.

She is survived by four children, Christinea (Douglas) Young of Shippensburg, Jerry (Stacy) Orndorff of Chambersburg, Michael McBeth of Shippensburg, and Candy (Ronald, III) Bigler of Shippensburg; seven grandchildren, Dillion, Dustin, Michaela, Shelby, Kyler, Izzy, and Abby.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her long-time companion, John Daryl Young, who died on June 23, 2013; three brothers, Roy Orndorff, Jr., Charles Orndorff, and Kenneth Orndorff; and one sister, Nancy Shew.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Pastor Clarence Stouffer will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cleversburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to defray Rose’s funeral expenses.
