Ronnie Watson

Ronnie Watson, 70, of Newburg, departed this life on the morning of Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

He was born on October 18, 1953, in Chambersburg, a son of the late Thomas E. and Jean M. (Shughart) Watson, Jr. Ronnie married Maria L. Farias Pacheco in 2018, in Shippensburg.

Ronnie worked as a machine operator for Carlisle SynTec for over twenty years. He then worked for Amazon Distribution for several years, from where he retired.

Ronnie enjoyed being outdoors, in nature, around his home, hiking and walking trails. He also liked to watch documentaries and travel to Brazil. Most importantly, Ronnie loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of six years, he is survived by three daughters, Sheree L. Bowers and husband Blaine of Newburg, Dawn D. Watson of Carlisle, and Shiloh S. Watson of Minneapolis, MN; four grandchildren, Dakota, Breonna, and Xzavier Bowers and Dylan Watson; one brother, Daryl Watson and wife Wonda of Shippensburg; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathy L. Watson, who died on October 26, 2001, and a brother, Thomas E. Watson.

His graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, August 30, 2024, in the Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Pastor Jan Bye-Dickerson will officiate. There will be no public viewing or visitation prior to.
