Ronald L. “Ron” Mozingo, Sr., 80, of Newburg, passed away the morning of May 26, 2024 at his home.
He was born on May 24, 1944 in Chambersburg, a son of the late William G. and Mildred M. Bailey Mozingo.
Ron attended the Upper Strasburg Church of God and was a member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post #6168, Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post #223, Minnequa Social Club #375, and Hub City Club. Anyone who knew Ron, knew he was a jokester and loved playing tricks. His fun-loving, joking personality will surely be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by three children, Suzanne (Jeff) Mozingo-Harlan of West Chester, Ronald L. Mozingo, Jr. of Newburg, and Donald L. Mozingo of Chambersburg; six grandchildren, Alex Crusey, Julianna Stofflet, Stephanie Stofflet, Amanda Koehne, Sarah Mozingo, and Tyler Mozingo; 11 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Paul Mozingo of Palmyra, Ralph “Butch” (Connie) Mozingo of Newburg, and Delores Unger of Chambersburg; caregivers and close friends, Christie (Joshua) Black and Garbrielle (Austin) Olson; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Brutus.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Kimberly S. Mozingo and Paul L. Mozingo; five brothers; and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Pastor Timothy Redmond officiating. Interment will be private. A viewing will be held two hours prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
