Ronald L. “Tader” Hockenberry, 65, of Cleversburg, died on the afternoon of Monday, June 4, 2012, at Holy Spirit Hospital.
He was born on June 22, 1946, in Cleversburg, a son of John and Violet Lynch Hockenberry. On February 28, 1976, Ronald married Ms. Wanda K. Meredith in Shippensburg.
Ronald was employed as a laborer for Heavy & Highway Local Union # 158, for thirty years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, hunting four leaf clovers with his granddaughter, hunting mushrooms, barbecue, taking care of his yard work, and listening to old country music.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Wanda; five children, Becky (Jerry) Sample of Newville, Ronald Hockenberry, II of Newburg, Brigitte (James) Grenel of West Chester, Tatum Hockenberry of Shippensburg, and Amanda Hockenberry of Shippensburg; two brothers, Jack (Sandy) Hockenberry of Shippensburg and Larry (Sharon) Hockenberry of Cleversburg; thirteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
His funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Kenneth Waggoner, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in the Cleversburg Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
