Ronald William Glenny, 80, of Lurgan, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at his home.
Born Friday, October 23, 1942 in Huntingdon, PA, he was a son of the late James and Edna Jane (Beatty) Glenny.
Ron was a 1961 graduate of the Huntingdon Area High School. He served in the National Guard. Ron retired from the Chambersburg Mall as an Operations Supervisor.
He was a member of the Donation Methodist Church in Huntingdon, PA. Ron was a post member and Past Commander of the Frank P. Hommon American Legion Post # 024 in Huntingdon, PA. He was a member of the Hub City Club, and the Minnequa Social Club, both in Shippensburg.
He was an avid golfer.
Ron is survived by his wife of 38 years, Judy M. (Pecht) Glenny; three sons, Timothy Wayne (Cherie) Glenny, Barberton, OH, Wade Alan (Janet) Glenny, Frenchville, PA, and Clay William (Thomas) Glenny, Altoona, PA; three sisters, Beverly Dotson, Dauphin, AL, Kay McKnight, Altoona, PA, and Patricia Miller, Huntingdon, PA; ten grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, 100 Dykeman Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.
